Birthday Crown for a Friend

A birthday crown for a friend. Created based on the pattern in Amanda Soule’s The Creative Family, with wool felt. I hand-stitched the star on this time. It looks much nicer than my boys’ crowns where I sewed the stars on with my machine.

  1. Lovely! Can I be your friend too?
    🙂
I wish I had a sewing machine and I wish I knew how to actually use one.

  2. Thank you! You know, I think you could easily make this crown without a machine. I usually use a color in the middle, and then a different color (or cream) on the sides, but you could make it all one color on the front. You could just sew the front and back pieces together with a small straight stitch. Hmm…you would have the issue of the elastic in the back. I’d have to think about it, but I think it could be done.

  3. Hi Tina. Great birthday crown and I wanted to thank you for entering the Natural Kids & Toys giveaway and to let you know that you won!! Please contact me so we could exchange contact info.
